Awkward Portal
Awkward Portal was an auction by and for our beloved local art community space, Public Space One. In addition to contributing a painting to the auction, Mustard-In-Law made a special four-tape box set, named Awkward Portal.

“The Science of Separation”
I designed the art for this tape “The Science of Separation” by Ylang Ylang & Cosà e CosÃ. Released in an edition of 70 cassettes from Moldy Pizza Records, and digital version from Ailanthus.
  
The busiest day of my life.
Three exhibits featuring my work all occurred at the same time within a block of each other, coincidentally during both the Iowa Arts Festival and the Iowa City First Friday Gallery Walk.
• Textiles women’s clothing store is showing a full array of my paintings and collages for 3 months.
• Iowa Artisans Gallery has a postcard-sized exhibit with a few of my pieces included.
• Blick Art Materials had an employee show, with even more creations from my hands.
 
Mustard-In-Law tape/shirt/show
Mustard-In-Law is Jay Schleidt & Tyler “Watermellon Man” Luetkehans.
We performed at Governor’s Mansion. The shirts are printed with mustard.
Each tape contains 30 minutes of sound, starting at a random spot within a playlist of improvised recordings..
Art for Access
A watercolor piece I contributed to the third annual Art for Access event, hosted by the Iowa Abortion Access Fund. Proceeds help provide access to women’s health services.
