FCR-79 Devin Dart / Bob Bucko Jr split recycled C60
Big ol’ split of some jammers from the jungle that is eastern Iowa. Devin Dart starts out with a soothing post-rock dish before venturing into weird-out psych-folk-looped-to-infinity climes, with an 8-minute noise dirge thrown in the middle for sick kicks. Bob Bucko Jr turns his head all the way around for some schizoid jazz and wandering guitar arias for the broken-necked. A tape for meditating towards negative infinity to. Edition of 20, March 2012

FCR-78 Lost Trail “October Mountain” recycled C60’s
Wandering around in the woods – choose your preferred time of day- lost but in a peaceful way, just wandering. Or just in your bedroom at night with only a small lamp on. Soothing pulsating drones and gently plucked folk guitar. The occasional swooping swelling jam-out out of nowhere. You know, the good stuff, all the way through. Totally solid 59 and a half minutes on recycled tapes of sermons from churches near and around Des Moines, IA in the 70’s and 80’s and, get this, comes in hand made pouches made back in 2010. Edition of 33, friends, February 2012
FCR-76 Make Believe Bombs / Color Rabbit split C62
Some nightglow adventures await you on this near-hour-long ancient-astronaut art exhibit at your local tape deck or portable walkman. Make Believe Bombs spits out a single half-hour track to cover the first side, ranging from black-hole glittering rock sequences to brain melodies that float, to ambiance with loops in the emptiest space in the middle of all eternity. Ends hopeful and quiet / loud. Then, Color Rabbit comes in brimming with forever-optimism, more pop-oriented than usual maybe but still way into fun and improvisation, bringing a wide-eyed starry density overflowing with just . . . NICE ONE-ness. 8 solid tracks that alternately rock, build and grow from simple flute loop seeds, ice skate on the surface of your consciousness, and finally get you high and gently drop you back down to the ground. Wonderfull cup. The tapes themselves are painted in glow-in-the-dark paint and have full-color jcards and inserts, and, coupled with the larger volume than usual, explain the somewhat higher than usual prices I have listed. BUT IT’LL BE WORTH IT, this is a sweet and dank slab with some really varied styles. Hope you enjoy. Edition of 50, June 2011

FCR-71 Make Believe Bombs “Light Kingdom” CDR ((( + another move ! ! ! )))
New dank bomb from Devin Dart, five whoppers carpeting the ground floor of yer grain brain. Starts off whiff some pretty rock fumes, then spirals around the air around your head with some power-ambiance and landing softly on thee soil with a splash of weirdo jazz. Comes in some hand-made packaging, as is oftentimes the case. Word up dudes and dudesses. Edition of 20, Dec 2010
FCR-68 Yana / Make Believe Bombs split C21 / recycled tape
Sept 1st —-> Startin’ with (probably. Most likely.) the most appropriate lost and found sound intro ever on JSchleidt’s Yanaside and goin’ til the sun fades away in gloryshine at the end of DDart’s MBBside, this tape has beats for your brain’s impending senility and some slick spacious pretty sounds to make that seem pretty okay. Each dood brought a ten and a half minute jam to the table. This one got tagged EasternIowaSplitSeries cuz both parties occupied Iowa City at the time of the recordin’, October 2009 sometime. I’m very glad these sounds finally burst through. Edition of 21, Sept 2010

FCR-61 Make Believe Bombs / SPERMWHALES split C30 (+ some recycled tapes)
On Side A of this oil slide MBBombs carves some crafty sound spheres with driven melodic updrafts, some harnessed and controlled pretty keyboard loops, and a quietly sonic noisey outro. SPERMWHALES turns it around and keeps the vibes set to —–>Fresh Food Chill with gentle melodies flowin’ with the River of All–time. Mammals in the skie, and dismantled bombs buried. ‘N just lookkit that pouch! Edition of 21, May 2010
