Well, we just got home from Dubuque, Iowa. We left there just before midnight, in the midst of a terrible drizzle of ice. So, we tried driving home on Highway 151, but there was a slight incline and we slid sideways onto this snowy precipice much like the top of the Grinch’s mountain leading down into a field. It was really kind of scary. Then a cop came and backed the car from the wrong side of the road down to an intersection and on the right side of the road. Then we waited for a long time until the salt trucks came to put sand and salt on the road. And boy, those guys look like monster vehicles. But then we could drive again, and so we drove veeerrrrrrrryy slowly through mist and rain until we got home, a mere two and a half hours later than expected.
